Primary and Secondary Target Groups
The primary target group is comprised of members of marginalised communities, such as Dalits, Janajatis, Madheshis and women, as well as the geographically marginalised populace, i.e. people living in remote areas in the Far-West and Western development regions. The secondary target group includes political parties and leaders, policy-makers (government, civil society, donors, and private sector), elites and corporate media.
The information disseminated through the discussion forums, TV and radio programs and publications will help the marginalised groups assert their democratic rights and take advantage of these rights to influence the ongoing national and local democratisation processes. At the same time, the initiative will sensitise the secondary target group and push them to become more responsive towards the primary target group's legitimate concerns.
